Recertifications are due the date your certification cycle ends at 11:59 pm Eastern Time.
- They may be submitted anytime during your recertification year.
- Applications are reviewed once payment is rendered.
- Lapsed status is three months. CMPs have 90 days from their certification end date to submit recertification applications.

*Fees and applications must be submitted by deadline. If paying by check, the payment must be received by the submission deadline. Applications are reviewed once payment is received. If payment is received after deadline, additional funds will be required before application is reviewed. All fees are subject to change at any time. All fees must be submitted in US Dollars.
Visa, Master Card, American Express, Check’s, Cashier Checks and International Bank Transfers accepted in US dollars.
Checks are payable to Convention Industry Council. A $25 service charge will be assessed for declined or returned payments and added to the total fees due. Charges from returned check fees must be paid by money order, certified check.
All CMP recertification fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
After March 31st of your lapsed year, your CMP expires and you are not able to use the CMP designation. In order to regain your CMP once your certification is expired, you must go through the application and exam process from the beginning.
