CIC HONORS 2007 HALL OF LEADERS INDUCTEES

Washington DC – January 2, 2008 – For more than 20 years, the Convention Industry Council’s Hall of Leaders has honored outstanding leaders and innovators within the meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry. On December 11, 2007 five industry leaders were inducted to the Hall of Leaders in Las Vegas. The 2007 inductees were:

Christine Duffy, President and CEO, Maritz Travel
Steven Hacker, CAE, President, International Association of Exhibitions and Events
Robert “Bob” Moore, Executive Vice President of Corporate Sales, Freeman
Edward E. Scannell, CSP, CMP, Director, Center for Professional Development and Training
Roger Tondeur, President, MCI Group Holding S.A.

This year’s event was hosted at The Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. John Graham, CAE, CIC Chairman of the Board and President and CEO of ASAE & The Center, emceed the event, which included a VIP reception, five-stage awards ceremony, and dinner prepared by a team of celebrity chefs. Nearly 700 industry colleagues and supporters attended the event, including 20 past inductees to the Hall of Leaders.

“I am delighted that CIC was able to honor these outstanding individuals in front of the entire industry,” said John Graham. “The 2007 Hall of Leaders Gala was an immense success.”
