Incentives for the Attendee

• Every attendee confirming accommodations inside the official block is eligible in a drawing for a free registration to next year's annual meeting.
  
  
• Initiate a point system similar to a "frequent flier" program whereby attendees can earn valuable benefits by playing by the rules.
  
  
• Enhance the exhibitor's position in the space "draw" by providing added "points" earned by booking inside the block.
  
  
• Convert the "early bird" registration discount to a discount for staying inside the block.
  
  
• Some planners are considering raising the registration fee substantially and in turn, providing a substantial discount to the attendee who books inside the block.
  
  
• Some planners are rethinking their negotiating strategy and employing an approach, which gives the hotel property the same guarantees, they receive from the Internet. i.e. full payment in advance improves the planner's ability to secure the most competitive rate for their attendees.
