CIC Launches U.S. Economic Impact Study
The Convention Industry Council (CIC) has issued a comprehensive survey to meeting planners which will develop data necessary to determine the economic significance that meetings represent and to produce a basis for ongoing benchmarking and analysis of the meetings sector. The study is being conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the survey is being sent to planner members of CIC’s member organizations. If you received the survey and have questions, contact the PwC project director, Robert Canton, at robert.canton@us.pwc.com, or if you have any technical or operational issues with the survey, please contact pwc.survey.center@us.pwc.com.

Meetings Industry Under Attack
It is no secret that the meetings industry has come under attack in the media and Congress. CIC and its member organizations have been working with an industry coalition to get the message out that meetings are good for business and jobs.
